On a positive note, it looks like my insurance company will pay for my Angiogram and Calcium Score. Just took a while to convince them there was a referral for the service. 🙄

@grocerybag @coldacid the original patent for insulin in 1921 was sold for $1. The drug companies in the US do just enough to keep improving the insulin so new patents are issued and thus it never goes out of patent.

My solution: reduce your need for insulin thru diet. Of course, whenever I suggest this to people, they think I'm insane. Even though that was the treatment plan for diabetes before the discovery of insulin.

@coldacid at least you guys don't have to pay an arm and a testicle for drugs up there. Anyone on insulin in the US is completely fucked.

@coldacid It's hard enough for a government to provide for its own shitizens much less those of another country. I'm sure what Ontario is doing makes more sense than what I'm currently dealing with in 'Murica.
