@Dan_Ramos @ned I think you've uncovered the basic flaw in egalitarianism. We're not all equal. We all have different needs and desires. Its presumptuous to assume people must be good at IT (or any given field) just because they applied for it. Chances are, they just want the money. And if you filter the legit applicants, don't complain if it's not the equality of outcome you really wanted. Or go ahead and quota-hire and realize some are bad at their job.

@Dan_Ramos Tim Pool covered this and I LOL'd so hard. Even after rigging the algorithm, they still couldn't not hire more men. And then they shut it down because it wasn't the outcome they wanted from the beginning. Wouldn't want anybody to learn from this or anything.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp It must be something you learn. Someone in her life uses guilt and shame to motivate her. So, why shouldn't it work for everyone else?

@Johnny_of_the_swamp The girl in the beginning was hard to get past, but I ended up with the same basic conclusion. Her sincere grief and trauma is somehow everyone else's burden, whether they choose to accept it or not. And that her struggles are so unique, nobody else's problems can compare.

Is Blonde's point that we should Balkanize such a bad idea? It's clear in the last few weeks how little Dimension B really cares for basic civic concepts like presumption of innocence and due process of law. What if they were simply left to their own devices in their own nation state while the rest of us can carry on as usual?
