Random, but serious question: Is racism really as bad as portrayed?

In the worst cases, how is the behavior any different than discriminating solely based on age, gender, hair color, height, religion, nationality, political alignment, or any other physical trait or belief? But _race_ is just so much worse that people need to seek it out? How about just telling someone to not be a bigoted twat and go on with your day?

Couldn't there be cases where racism isn't a bad thing?

Maybe the #metoo crowd can get together with the kneeling crowd and put an end to domestic violence once and for all.
