@PakkonenCT That was Sargon's point. The progressives have a goal, but their means of attaining it is wrong. Other forms of liberalism have overlapping goals, but more practical means of attaining them.
Sargon of Akkad really speaks eloquently about the differences between his world view of classical liberalism and the variations of radical leftism. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UI9cF9OJaU
When Obama was President, it was the right that was continually labeled conspiracy theorists over issues like his birth certificate, 9/11, etc. Now look at the left going full retard on conspiratorial thinking because it's what they want to happen.
"trump is just a populist" "hillary won the popular vote"
see how this contrarian logic is destroying the country, do you see?!
are we too obsessed with pop culture, the latest trend, the cool new gender pronoun to assign to ourselves as if we're experts in anything other than owning a rotting meat bag?
i dont think technocrats are correct however i do believe that more care should be taken to elect leadership that the country puts faith in, this game show stuff has to go, its hurting us all
Whenever you hear #JoyBehar from #TheView talk about "Impeach Trump", or that he's a sexual abuser, or that he said "grab them by the pussy", REMEMBER THIS PICTURE!
@Xil This sounds like simple economics, to me. ISPs need to price according to 80/20 rule. But, when giants like Netflix shift that balance enough to disrupt the revenue stream, they need to respond in kind.
@Xil According to Molyneaux, this is what Comcast, Verizon, and Netflix were up to just before Obama rolled out #NetNeutrality. Netflix utilization was working Comcast's network hard enough they felt the need to respond with throttling, unless Netflix would subsidize their network costs. Netflix agreed. Then Verizon wanted a piece and Netflix caved for them, too.
@mrmcmayhem@adam@Johnny_of_the_swamp@dcgirl I was at work in Newark, DE at the time and none of us knew anything happened. A bunch of my Southern NJ friends posted they felt it. Even though the epicenter was in Dover, DE.
The whole concept of #NetNeutrality is a choice that Internet users never had was suddenly placed in their lap. What else are they going to do but regulate in their own best interest? Isn't that what any crooked politician would do with newfound powers?
Do #NetNeutrality supporters actually believe ISPs will roll out tiered speed plans to different sites? Isn't it much more likely they'll charge content providers (like Netflix, Hulu, etc.) to make up for the transmission costs.
If we have net neutrality, it's more likely your ISP bill will go up a bunch. Otherwise, it's likely your Netflix bill will be impacted, but not by as much.
@dirb Very well. When you move to the states, I can demonstrate how many areas do, in fact, have choices. And for those edge cases where there is surprisingly few choices, you'll see that tiered access is not the pricing model.
