Wool thanks. Its weird sometimes German is basically just dutch with extra letters. Sometimes they arent even in the same ballpark.

I live int he netherlands trying to learn it but I must admit german would be easier.

@iankenway There is a big and growing movement in the netherlands to brexit too, especially seeing how the EU has handled the UK request to leave, it has generated increasing animosity towards the EU and an increasing number of Dutch people support leaving.

I started looking for a back surgeon in the USa but everywhere i went thry accused me of drug seeking and i wound u with no medication and in such agonizing pain all i could do is scream all day. Luckily some friends gave me left over pills to get through it but that expiernce, combined with the very high costs under obama care (it was high before but never this high) ultimately caused me to opt for dutch surgery instead. It was way better but the issue there was the wait was so god awful slow I'd often not get proper treatment just due to the wait.

Yea i hear the UK horror stories. I just got spinal surgery here in the NL ... a lot of problems in the system here too

By the way if your argument is just that american insurance is a shit show, it is no argument. But id like to say as someone living with other systems too from eruope its also a shit show here. So dont lok to us as an example either.

It sure is and always happy to see what you have to share as ive been out of thast particular industry for a bit now. I left it a few years after obamae (unrelated to obama care why i left the industry just not unrelated why i left the country).

I will say this, as a high earner my own healthcare went up 4x - 6x under Obama care. In the netherlands Ir is about 1/8th the usa price at my current tax bracket (cheaper than even pre-obamacare) with less out of pocket

Obamacare was one factor that caused me to flee the USA.

Most of the threats seem social, which is a real issue on the fediverse. Mostly instances banding together to aggressively ban other instances int he fediverse causing a fracturing.
