I vaguely remember stumbling on a utility that looks for gaps in your python unit test coverage, but now I can't find it. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?
My son recited a poem about Columbus that he had to memorize for school, but he prefaced it with, "This is all a bunch are garbage, None of it is true."
My personal email domain is pancrypticon.net, which I think is bad-ass, but I've quickly learned that nobody can fucking spell it, so I have to spell it out every time I tell someone, which is especially tedious over the phone.
So, I registered a new domain that would be easier for everyone. My criteria were that it used distinct commonplace words with no homonyms, and that it be cheap. I found mushroom.christmas for $11. We have a winner.
16 years ago, I developed an intolerance to milk. I could still eat fermented/aged stuff like cheese and yogurt (thank fuck), but stuff like milk, heavy cream, ice cream, etc would give me swift and severe intestinal pain. Over the years I've occasionally eaten things that I didn't know contained milk and it generally ruined my day. However, two weeks ago I accidentally ate some ice cream and... I was fine. Since then I've been trying small amounts to test the waters and I seem to have no trouble digesting it whatsoever anymore. Yesterday I finally took off the training wheels and drank a whole milkshake. 😍
I just got my heat recovery ventilator completed and installed. Now I just need to watch the CO₂ and temperature readings over the next 24 hours to see if it's making a difference.
Years and Years was an interesting show. It wasn't perfect, but I think it did a really good job of capturing the current zeitgeist in the "western" world right now. There's definitely a lot in it that feels possible, and likely imminent -- none of it in a good way.
The ending was a bit of a hard left turn, though.
El Camino was kind of a let-down. It wasn't bad, but thus far Vince Gilligan has unfailingly shit gold, so I was expecting something more. I actually re-binged all 5 seasons of Breaking Bad to have it fresh in my mind, but it failed to live up to the quality of that show. Actually, having the characters' images fresh in my mind was a bit jarring, because now they're all 10 years older and 20 lbs heavier than they used to be -- except for Bryan Cranston, who looks exactly the same. It was also weird to see Robert Forster and then learn the next morning that he died.
Those blocks that were growing stunted mushrooms indoors are doing a better job outside. It's supposed to be in the 50s and 60s all week with overnight lows above freezing, so I might actually get a decent harvest out of them after all.
I got the egress fan wired up temporarily to test the airflow. It's a two-speed fan. Even on the lower speed there's a nice gentle flow on air coming from the other end.
Question for the electrically minded: I'm going to be using two 12v fans. Should I wire them in parallel or in series?
