@dogtrax @rusty in terms of microblogging as its own for composition genres old like twaiku and new like tweetstorms occur online. @dogtrax knows more about that with #smallpoems leadership

@dogtrax @rusty more so the idea of a commonplace book we use in #IndieWeb. If you look at the last article on my website https://jgregorymcverry.com you will find all my thoughts and bookmarks on my microblogging theme.

Yes it works... More so you own your breadcrumbs. No searching through third parties just file the stuff at home on your own blog.

#edu407 I am glad Guided Reading works for you and your cousin. I wonder if you are having this success simply by teaching and reading with rather than your specific method...if that is the case then the method chosen doesn't matter if the success is there (just have fun too).

#edu407 Yes requirement for all teachers to show student growth has taken an assessment, already fraught with reliability issues, and compounded it with explicit and implicit teacher bias. Teachers know they must show growth and may adjust how hard they measure or what they teach

I have settled on a pattern for #edu407 #edu305 and #edu307 to post positive with webmentions, respecting student choice for syndication, but using native comments, that students may choose to publish, for more critical feedback. System works well.

#edu407 Spelling as a lifetime goal is also something to think about but it is also constant practice. I spelt way bettrs when I still taught 6th grade. When I was bouncing around from Middle Syllables to Derivational Relationships every day.

Other issue is urnal nerve damage and losing some left handed typing. Need a standing desk.

#edu407 Honestly I am not the biggest fan of guided reading at least not how it plays out in most schools. It is commercial tool. I find the leveling of groups contrived and devoid of content knowledge. The connection of word study to the text rarely makes sense.

One cool things for folks to know with the new writing clients and tools (they use something called micropub) and the social readers (using microsub) allow you to write in a mobile first/anytime manner and you never have to touch your CMS.
