@stsmith I'm getting 14 mpg with 410 gears and 35 mud tires. The 7.3 gets 16 city. Long hauls are around 19

@stsmith how mechanicaly inclined are you? Diesel repairs are costly if you hire it out. YouTube is a big help. The 6.5 motor has weaknesses. Check out the forum thedieselplace. They have a new buyers guide. I also have a 7.3 powerstoke excursion and love it. I haven't owned a dodge cummins. 6bt engine is awesome. Stay away from type 53 block 24v. Also stay away from ford 6.0. Money pit. 10k money pit

@stsmith I have a 6.5 chevy suburban. The same motor in a H1 hummer. There is a computer. It can operate in limp mode in the event of computer failure or emp attack. It is under powered by today's modern diesel standards. The engine has 180hp 375 ft lbs of toque. The older 6.2 motor is all mechanical. The last H1 got the new duramax engines I believe
