@rugk @kity @Bobo_PK @markush haha, yes... that is the decimal version of the IPv4 address if it's treated as a 32-bit number. That particular one is 127 * 224 + 1, or 127.0.0.1. 😁

@isagalaev that is technically true of every complaint about computers, sure... but the people are rarely convenient to complain at, while the computers are content to absorb all frustration 😅

I don't think any of this is about laws though so much as contracts between the registries and registrars.

@amiloradovsky I totally get confirming approval with both sender and recipient, and also notifying both on completion. even then, I got 16 emails that were apparently identical to prior ones aside from capitalization, and 8 where the registrar wanted to know what account to associate the domains with, which it had already asked me at the start of the process.

transferred ownership of 8 domain names from me to my business, which is also just me... and received 64 emails total, if I counted right, in the process; 24 of those had links I had to click, and 8 of those only asked for information I had already provided
