Yeah, I see talk of the irrational behavior of this climb (understandable in context of what we know as 'normal'), but it could also be considered completely rational if you consider it in the context of a "first come, first served" mountain of gold being discovered by the masses. There's a massive rush to just get a piece and I don't think anyone really cares about "cashing" out right now.

What could rationally cause a large dip in BTC - I'm trying to think this through. Long term (anyone in early 2017 or before) HODLers seem content to ride this higher and all "new" money in the last week is getting in at very high prices.

So who has the incentive to sell, other than short term flippers to drive the prices way down?

I have been considering taking out my relatively small initial investment (<$10K) so that any gains are just gravy, but I put it in willing to lose and and want to see where this horse rides for 5 years.

If it goes to $0, so be it. If it ever gets to the point that I can pay off my house, that is when I will have a difficult time not pulling it out.

I've been thinking of a reasonable "exit" strategy, and thinking of starting to sell 1-2% of my holdings per month at some point.
