Somehow they fail to see that the ISPs have zero incentive to cut these kinds of deals or setup tiers as they have proposed. They already have tiers based on bandwidth, which makes sense.
The backlash if they tried something like putting Netflix or Facebook on a premium tier above current costs would be so great that their own stockholders would burn the CEO at the stake.

Prediction - Net Neutrality (like the elephant ban reconsideration) is 4D chess. Trump will dangle the possibility of removing it out there, then veto the legislation.
Suddenly he'll have everyone opposed to the possibility thinking "Hmm, maybe this guy isn't that bad."

I find it curious that one meme from the last go around has started all this "services will be tiered".
I will guarantee you that you will never see a package that cuts off any website. I see the alippery slope with "lawful content" people talk about, but in practicality I see it being just hysteria.

Completely agree - where I see potential is in wrangling these complicated/scam financial instruments like bundling mortgages. If all those were tied to a blockchain they could be easily tracked when bundled together - unlike the last financial crisis where it was a complete clusterfuck. Wall St didn’t know what they had and re-insurers didn’t know what they were insuring they how to track them. We

I agree - the exchanges are the choke point - you need to control your own keys. Even with something like a Nano Ledger, I'm skeptical that it being Chrome based is an issue. Cold storage is maybe the way to go, but has inherent risks.
