@HiroProtagonist @yukiame I don't love him but I don't hate him as long as he stays on Eurasia where he belongs! And I respect him. He does love his people. And he's got the most amazeballs LMS* I have ever seen!
*Little Man Syndrome
@chris @yukiame You called? https://noagendasocial.com/media/hKF_hOxJ64dc3-R9ME0
@HiroProtagonist @Ardral @Iamthebammbamm when John calls his neighbors "the Chinese" it makes me cringe but otherwise, I don't mind -- he's old. But I have been bumping into some folks who are a little nazish (I mean naziiish, nazish is a Persian name: https://www.i-am-pregnant.com/baby-names/girls/Nazish/)
@Combaticus @yukiame if I want to sleep worth a shit, I can't drink any more. Maybe after I lose 45 kilos!
@yukiame God I would love a White Russian right about now.
I think I went too far. Did I lose you all? Am I verboten? Am I in exile? #itm #fish -- I do come with a very high viral load.
@SLRock @ScottALavender so, you're a white supremacist; I'm in the wrong dimension. Waiter, check please!
@ScottALavender @SLRock it's tribal, yes. Good analogy.
I have a unrefined theory about race relations. It isn't any particular race or culture that is the problem, it is the friction resulting from the interactions *between* those races/cultures.
It's like a high front and a low front meeting to create storms. Best metaphor I have currently.
@SLRock @ScottALavender Haole means "white dude" so basically haoles are Caucasians and not "mixed-race" -- I grew up in Hawaii being called "fucking haole" but even I understand how much being "local" or "indigenous" in Hawaii sucks. I hope those folks get Sovereignty some day soon.
@ScottALavender @SLRock wow, I just discovered that "hapa haole" is a slur! Is derogatory. I never knew that growing up.
@SLRock @ScottALavender I grew up in Hawaii and I can't wait until everyone is Hapa.
"Hapa is a Hawaiian word that was originally part of the full phrase hapa haole, which was a derogatory term for someone half Hawaiian and half “white foreigner.” Today, the phrase has been shortened to simply “hapa” and generally refers to anyone part Asian or Pacific Islander and part Caucasian."
@SLRock @SmedleyButler @Ardral I don't like White Supremacists at all --or Nazis-- but I demand that they are allowed to march, to speak, to write, and to hate with words so I immediately tend to defend them when they're being shouted down and assaulted: antifa, etc.
@SLRock @SmedleyButler @Ardral maybe one of MY biggest limitations is that I am fighting against my Liberal Arts education on the late 80s, early 90s, and my inculcation into liberal elite Washington, DC, NPR culture as well. So, I, too, have to fight deep knee-jerking.
@SLRock @SmedleyButler @Ardral hey, I still think that No Agenda is still the greatest podcast in the universe and that No Agenda Social is greatest online community in the universe -- I just want us to keep skeptical, my friends! #fish #itm
@Ardral @chris @Iamthebammbamm "Q: Are we our own sounding wall? " - Yes, we are. This is a Vacuum...called the Internet. Because there is so much else, we tend to veer towards 'what we know' - How many new links are added to your browser in a week? For me, not too many...maybe one or two...because I 'already have good info sources' that reflect what I think (i am sure of this) because if I did not think the information (regardless of the slant attempted) valid, I would not go back. #NER /p1
@Ardral @chris @Iamthebammbamm
We build our own walls, our own 'safe areas' because most of the time...'New' is hard to find...I blame advertising for this...as every product is "New & Improved" - How many newspapers did you read (when they were valid sources of info?) - maybe 2? And you as a person thought "I am informed and Knowledgeable".
I guess I am just saying...too much can be TOO much. The internet is bigger than the world (literally) because you are finite in realspace - #NER /p2
@Ardral @HiroProtagonist @Iamthebammbamm and whereas I have listened to NA since #1, we, as a whole, have surely been listing to the right. And we've become even more crackpot. And our crackpot is guesting in InfoWars. So, to assume that we possess the Judgment of Solomon can become hubris which is why the moment people start acting all "I'm right!" I do mock and call bullshit. NA is a boat adrift. It's doing good work but we need so much scepticism added to the ingredients mix. #fish #itm
@Iamthebammbamm @HiroProtagonist @chris
I don't think @chris was mocking what you said, btw.
Some people here do research properly, many don't.
As I said initially, this walled garden has, mostly, been forced on us.
But it's still a walled garden and is starting to show the sign.
I don't think there is a fix.
