It seems that governments are giving a huge push towards the further development of the dark web, the distributed internet, mesh systems, etc. We are moving into interesting times.
-
I suppose Twister, Opera's defunct Unite service and Beaker browser would be among the examples of "distributed", yes? Along with mesh messaging systems.

Hmm. By the number of times that people broadcast the same content in parallel, without repeating, boosting or sharing it, you can often see that people are often not really reading each other's posts. But those who shout more than they listen and those who listen more than they shout are no doubt fulfilling different needs. So be it.

Saw this yesterday. It's not, as the title makes it sound, a breezy comedy. It's closer to something Deepa Mehta might make. Turns out it's autobiographical too.

Bob Mottram wrote a blog post about the article. As for me, I thought that like many articles about such subjects in mainstream journals, it was not sufficiently well informed - the author probably concentrated his research on the people at the event and took these to be the main actors. Whereas I'd never heard of most of these people, the technologies they were proposing or the term "D-web" itself before, though I know all about the "Fediverse" and the "Indyweb". Perhaps there needs to be more mutual acknowledgment among decentralization "enthusiasts" about the various efforts being made.

I'm simply using "cards" as a links blog. Initially I thought to use "articles" for an ordinary blog, and "cards" for links. However "articles" needs more work in order to make it a useful module (more widgets, ability to import a blog, etc.). So I integrated my WP blog into Hubzilla and made a unified side menu for both. "Cards" and "articles" are almost identical modules. They don't get posted on the wall or get broadcast unless you share them intentionally, but that's easy to do.

I have friends who visit his center sometimes in Coimbatore - Hope they are safe.
It's hard to keep up with these various godmen.
