a very cool and completely free way to be an ally to a whole load of kinds of people is to teach your kids, parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, niblings, friends and coworkers not to freaking stare at people because they think they look a bit weird

this means you can do completely silly things like tape a chip to its pads on a circuit board or tape a ribbon cable to a memory card!

computers are great because we generally put a lot of faith in them but occasionally they’ll say something like “-0 seconds ago” and you can see through the crack that they’re constructed almost entirely out of hubris
