@TikiDave the design books lay out some pretty insane applications of scientific knowledge...
pretty high tech stuff for just moving dirt around half of the time. -

@TikiDave permaculture has resonated with me strongly.
i need to start my nucleation site but i haven't applied my brain at least 100 hours at it, yet.

@TikiDave they seem self-evident to me.
from what i can tell, the four core principles that may unite the united states would be 1) community, 2) agriculture, 3) knowledge, 4) opportunity.
nobody disagrees on any of these.

@TikiDave some places, like maine and such, would probably be better suited to a hot house infrastructure though, for various reasons.

@TikiDave unpopular opinion:
i'm going to say what ought be grown is that which the local area can grow.anything else is for buffer against bad seasons or luxury.

@TikiDave the one message that ron paul had that seems to have remained "audit the fed" is probably good.
anti-international finance is always a good thing. except when you get bombed to death, i guess.

@TikiDave i'm going to go out on a limb and say libertarianism (aka classical liberal, aka ... liberal) is dead. judging that all the ron paul voters ran to bernie... yeah, i'd say it's dead.

@TikiDave the amount of costs lessened and work created for "laborers" from all the agricultural projects would probably just be good enough on its own. who knows.

@TikiDave i'm sure there's plenty of anti-capitalist (anti-mega-conglomco... nobody truly disagrees on this except a small few) and ecological arguments for anti-immigration, and they already are all-in on small business stuff.

@TikiDave i'm quietly betting that the green party would be a powerful party if
a) it dumps the social justice
b) adopts anti-immigration and becomes nationalist
c) pushes hard on ecological, agriculture-everywhere, and beautification
d) actually goes out and plans and plants small-scale permaculture/agricultural/beautification plots for people. (which would effectively replace the necessity for a) ) even better if it creates community (shared struggle) through said programs. -

@Johnny_of_the_swamp i guess that leaves one other thing open...
who is represented by the silencing more? the companies doing it or the people desiring it? even if the people is a small crowd.
would legislation make it a-okay to do? if so, why would the companies need such protections or excuse to continue doing it? isn't it their property?
lots to think about on this topic.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp perhaps routing around it indicates some kind of force remaining? i dunno. hard to tell.

@Johnny_of_the_swamp (notice i make no reference to the existing constitution. all anybody tries to do is route around it, so i have issues seeing its utility as a governing force... i get the principles and ideology guarded within)
