@Johnny_of_the_swamp that our states/fed are concerned with passing laws to silence people either indicates a disconnect from the population, or an actual popular will.

from what i'm seeing, a lot of people enjoy silencing their enemies... i can't say for how much of a phenomenon this is, or if they're just really loud about it.

again, there might be something wrong with the government as is...

here's what i see:
1) it's private property, ergo they can control how it works
2) it concerns the public, the(our?) states/fed have say
3) something in between

if they are private services then they are free to do as they please. however, a lot of the population is on them. if a private institution can do as it pleases with most of a population... is that a concern of the state or not? else, abandon them on principle.

i don't think social media is one anybody should bother fighting. these platforms are actively harming people, and letting them rot is best.

as for legislation... well... action plans?

@hippieNdisguise i would say it's a bit weak. but, it does adequately keep the proles out of the power structure... and gives you people who want more money than anything else. as a financier, that would be good. but, still not enough centralized power... not enough.

@hippieNdisguise i think this is an interesting exercise in how goverment would work if it were international conglomerates. we already have the international agencies.
