So I made miso powder, and it rehydrates fairly well. You can also put it in a container with a shaker and shake it on food, where it hits it like a salty umami bomb. Technique here: https://billievethat.wordpress.com/2009/11/23/miso-dust/
The main mistake I made: I didn't spread it quite thin enough. Because of that I had to dry it for a really long time. Towards the end I got impatient and upped the temperature; it ended up giving it a "toasty" flavor which is also interesting but would be nice to try again without that.
Btw if the first @apconf talk you watch is this one (my keynote), you should know that the audio is better on all the other ones but mine. We made an error in the audio setup and so we had to use the audio from the camera instead of from the microphone I was holding. Considering that, it sounds ok-ish! But definitely very echo'y... sorry.
We fixed the issue after this talk, so the other ones generally sound better.

I'm sorry, the number of child surveillance tools that exist aren't enough right now?
Not to mention, maybe work with your children directly to teach them sexual and online safety, and maybe also don't shame them about having a sexuality. Shaming and punishing your teenagers for having a sex drive is the "war on drugs" approach to sex and we know how well that works.
@anna@mewmew More or less what I'm trying to say. I don't think Pleroma nor the Pleroma devs (including @lain obv) are Nazis; had a great time getting to know many at APConf, and quite frankly I think Pleroma in some ways is the most technically interesting of the ActivityPub implementations.
But it's hard to advocate for Pleroma when it sometimes seems like the project makes itself jokingly unclear on some of these things. I suspect that limits some of Pleroma's growth.
@lain@mewmew@anna Sorry, I'm super tired and my brain is smearing things everywhere, apparently back and forth between the two characters referenced. You're right that she wasn't executed.
She was convicted as a nazi agent though.
I don't know much about either. And I'm pretty tired. Just commenting about messaging.
@mewmew@anna The first person (Coco Chanel) that @lain had as their avatar was bona-fide executed as a German WWII spy.
The person that @lain then switched it to (Mata Hari) was apparently executed as a German WWI spy. I did a very lazy lookup on wikipedia and misread it, making a jump from a quick scan and assuming they were in the same category.
But maybe that's the joke. If so though, I'd say that reinforces the "not helpful on confusing messaging" aspect.
@lain@anna Gotta say that I don't think the "ha ha look another nazi" move is really entertaining or a terribly wise move on your part...
I was going to say "but it's your project", but I know there's a bunch of people in the Pleroma dev team who keep trying to fight back against that image... can't be easy with those kinds of moves.
