hmm thinking about some of the latest fedi drama and decided to ask the tarot cards, but i keep drawing one that says "yes its literally all men" i have never seen this card before help whats going on

1) remember that we work hard to keep things safe but, activitypub is leaky as all hell. shit can happen like you're in a thread with someone on another instance that doesn't block a shitty nazi instance and if that instance sees that thread, it will slurp up the post. so, as nice as the fediverse can be, its still someplace you want to keep some guard up, and try to avoid giving rando assholes ammo to hurt you if you can at all

after looking into it a bit and finding out that one of the (the?) lead pleroma devs is actually actively working on doing a safety and shit like freespeechextremist still slurping up posts it sees has more to do with ActivtyPub being designed by white dude dipshits in the first place, im probably not going to block pleromas because its not really pleroma thats the problem, its activitypub
