coz usually the people willing to put the most work in, even for the most urgent and disastrous political horrors... are multiply marginalised people.
multiply marginalised people are more likely to have ptsd and are at more risk of burnout and have more engagement with activism. AND less avenues of treatment available.
this idea that scaring fence-sitting liberals is worth more than helping seasoned activists work safely.. it's not realistic. people ignoring it aren't gonna help

'idiot,' 'moron,' 'stupid,' and 'imbecile' are all words tied to USA eugenics movements recommending compulsory sterilisation and/or incarceration, indentured servitude, etc
'dumb' comes from the ableist notion that someone who can't verbalise words is someone who can't think
