To treat some back pain I tried doing some gymnastics/contortions on the ground, and man it felt great. I would've looked so weird to a third-party, though. Getting a deep knot out of the area between your spine and the bottom of your shoulder blades is tough.

I don't believe that this is the case, but it's fun to think about:

It'd be interesting if the median physical form of males/females that people find attractive was actually the form that Adam and Eve had, and the preferences for either form are still there to this day, only hidden amidst some divergences.

This is complicated by that cultures seem to have varying ideas of the ideal physical form, but, for fun, consider that this could be the case due to subjective differences in the perception of those forms by our ancestors, and those perceptions have been magnified many times over the generations.

I can't contain my excitement around this. I don't have my laptop, so using an extra laptop (Win7) that otherwise goes unused I'm installing VirtualBox on it for PeppermintOS to try this out.

Workflow of future might start here as PDF => OCR (if necessary) => Markdown (using pandoc) => MindForger repository

Woah. An IDE for the mind, one that uses Markdown: https://www.mindforger.com/

I look forward to trying this. I wonder how well I could use it with #TiddlyWiki.

I'm quite excited by the possibilities that this exposes. #wiki #thinking #notes

Sorry for the stream-of-consciousness posts. I've been away from my computer for weeks, which means I have no way of journaling with #tiddlywiki. 😥🙃

Skateboard decks tend to develop pressure cracks around where the bolts connect the deck to the trucks.

I wonder if this might be decreased, and the lifespan of a deck extended, if an added layer of protection were added between the bolts and the wood of the deck. My concern is that for the board rider this would lead to a difference of riding experience, for there'd be a change in what force is directed where.

I now think that my ability to test this relies upon the standard diameter of holes drilled into the decks and the diameter of bolts used. When there is a gap between the diameters of either, the bolt would move around oddly, applying pressure to the deck in odd ways. For configurations with gaps, which would enable me to test it, the setup might already be dis-optimal, so my test results would be biased if I used those as a reference point (for comparison).

LMAO *leans in and whispers "hack the planet"*

A piece of equipment that you can layer on top of any curb to transform it into a launch ramp for skating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0C5iTEtRlA

Only $129 right now, too. Talk about a great gag gift! https://www.ocramps.com/product/greg-lutzkas-curb-kicker/

As I'm headed into the rainy season, I'd not want to purchase it for now, but it'd be fun for the dry months.

"Baby on board" signs carry a bit too much responsibility for me. What if I forget to flip it around when I park my car somewhere? I don't want people to be constantly breaking into my car to save a trapped baby.

I used to #design things with Photoshop, all but ending with making cartoony figures of the #GaiaOnline avatars of my friends and I [two of which are shown below]. As you can see, the figures utilized mostly only gradients and line tool work, and such work was very tedious in #Photoshop whereas it'd have been easy in #Illustrator or Inkscape, in no small part because PS (at the time?) does(/did) not let you modify work. I'd love to learn how to do this again, with #Inkscape. #art

It's really cool to see people riding these bikes, assuming that they wouldn't otherwise be riding their own bikes.

Advertisements for digital/online wares, in #meatspace, strikes me as being weird. I'm looking at an advertisement posted on this bus stop, for a show to be streamed on Amazon Prime. *Thinking emoji*

I think I somehow thought that this election cycle was irrelevant to me upon first seeing an election sign while in a part of town that is outside my jurisdiction, with a sign for the election of someone to an office with a jurisdiction outside of where I live, and upon subsequently seeing other signs, I over-generalized from that original sense of irrelevance to new, relevant signs.

One of my friends today asked me if I'll vote in the midterms [voting cycle], and that made me realize that for some reason I'd seen all the voting stuff but somehow assumed that it was irrelevant for me. I blame the mental exhaustion and/or poor sleep.
