A discussion elsewhere helped me pinpoint exactly what I didn't like about DIS S1. It was the torture porn and the extremely contrived psychology around it. Even the shroom drive was fine compared to that. In the end I even somewhat appreciated parts of the shroom arc.

S02 and onward were fine. Still though, SNW is soo much better. Nice and comfy trekky stuff. Less angst, more Starfleet family and space papa.

My usual cheese cube bread now comes with buckwheat and walnut! 🥰

In your school break room, in your school library and your public library, maybe in your home. And they were genuinely great books, encouraging curiosity and providing answers to how everyday things and phenomena work.

The original for "Så funkar det!" was "What makes it go?" and Joe Kaufman was a winner of multiple awards, but neither he nor the book has an entry in the English Wikipedia, and the Swedish entry for "Så funkar det!" doesn't even mention the other books, so I don't know their English titles. Did they even have English-language originals or were they only made for the Swedish market?

I love the songs they often sing over the end credits on #TheWitcher. It really adds to the mood as you're digesting what you just saw.

Usually it's the bard Jaskier (Joey Batey), which makes sense, but in S3E07 it's Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan), who turns out to have an amazing voice. The cast on this series is really something.
