@Kermode I have not been able to reach my landlord for the entire time I've lived here, and there are doors, burners and air conditioners that need fixing.

The new place has a direct lift connecting the flat to the mall without switching lifts at the podium.

I will miss the open view from 50th floor, now replaced with a courtyard view from 15th.

The rent is slightly higher, but not by much, and the existing landlord might have showed up for a renewal and demanded the same. The rent for either was market rent at the time of signing.

@argv minus one Please tell us the whole other story about dark mode. I'm listening!

If UX designers could please stop second-guessing my screen settings, that'd be great. I have my screen set up the way my eyes want it, thank you very much.

No combination of colors on your screen should ever strain your eyes. Your brain, maybe, but not your eyes. Adjust your screen settings as needed to achieve this.

On a phone, it's not even difficult. The brightness control is right there.

The big exception to all this is dark mode, but that's another story.

I have moved! I now live 50 m south of where I used to live and my main view is my old tower. 😃

Or well, I started renting and got the keys. Still need to move my furniture and life.

@AN/CRM-114 Every since that someone with a blog decided that sml would be the language they'd use for a 100 years maintainable program, I've been interested in checking out sml too.

I put OCaml on my to-learn list in 2003.

I got pretty close to actually doing it in 2018!
