Oh wow, Serch talking about the hit Hammer put out on them after he misunderstood a diss they did in one of their songs.

Now Hammer says he didn't do it, who knows what's real, but Serch's version of the story is good for a movie script, crazy stuff, wow.

As a kid in Sweden in 1989 all we knew about hip hop unless we had a special interest was MC Hammer.

I've absorbed a lot of US cultural knowledge through osmosis, but haha, the diss part has so much 1980s music scene inside baseball I'll have to look up every name mentioned on Wikipedia to catch up.

Maybe it was different from its home publication in syndication, or more than one version was in syndication. The baseball bat frame could be considered implying too much violence for some publishers.

I was reading an otherwise exceedingly useless article about hotel tips, but one thing I .. surprised myself by being surprised by it. I just had never thought about it.

One tip said something blabla "for your long drive home" and I realized that although I've had a driver's license for 25 years, I have never ever driven to a hotel. I drove to an AirBnB once, and a hostel once, but if I'm staying at a hotel, for me that means a nice proper vacation and not a road trip. Planes and trains, baby. Planes and trains.

Driving to a vacation destination feels like an extremely US thing to do, or an 80s Swedish thing, something my parents would do.

I always thought the exact phrase "Revenge is a dish best served cold" was a quote from The Godfather, but it's actually a "Klingon proverb" (according to Khan) from Star Trek II "The Wrath of Khan"!

The phrase has been around in different similar shapes since maybe the 18th century, originally probably from a French quote, but the Star Trek phrasing is the one I hear the most, and probably nobody who uses it knows that's where it's from!

The Godfather has it as "Revenge is a dish that tastes best when it is cold".

Ok, that's getting closer to what actually worries these people. But what do they believe is going to happen in the real world?

I bet that:
- Most furries understand consent better than these people do
- Most furries care for living creatures more than these people do
- It's not consent or suffering these people worry about, it's just weird purity stuff, oh no, people have thoughts I find icky, stop it

The furry hate out there is so weird.
