/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Sunday, 04-Aug-2019 14:01:36 EDT /dev/urandom personal opinion: non-decimal bases for general use are a nifty concept, but to avoid confusion you ideally would want to come up with a unique set of digits.
because if i see "10", it's gonna take me a long time to see a number other than ten.

2. people of previous generations were also more likely to move up the income ladder and enjoy a better life than their parentsi wonder how these are linked

1. deals with someone's personal or information security
2. goes into someone's body
should be open source and community-modifiable/upgradable.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Thursday, 11-Jul-2019 03:54:30 EDT /dev/urandom imo the biggest evidence of the soviet union's failure to be a left-wing socialist state is that the vast majority of people nostalgic for the soviet union seem to treat the authoritarian right-wing parts of it as more important than the actual socialism.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Tuesday, 30-Apr-2019 01:57:47 EDT /dev/urandom any moderation or customer service system that doesn't provide an easy way to have your case handled by an actual employee, rather than some algorithm, is terrible.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Wednesday, 23-Jan-2019 15:32:33 EST /dev/urandom goddammit, seems like the far-left is doing another episode of "let's disappoint the heck out of everyone else by inventing conspiracy theories in order to justify an incompetent authoritarian ruler"...

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Monday, 27-Aug-2018 03:22:48 EDT /dev/urandom i hope there are groups looking to find some way of long-term-preserving our industrial and scientific knowledge, as well as works of art, so that in case society collapses to a pre-industrial level, it will be eventually possible to recover them all.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Thursday, 28-Jun-2018 05:30:43 EDT /dev/urandom if i were a centrist, i'd be so annoyed at fascism & socialism in that when one pops out, the other immediately presents itself as the only real cure.
luckily, i understand that the threat of me being poorer is not as bad as one of lots of people being killed.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Monday, 07-May-2018 11:13:05 EDT /dev/urandom i feel like the idea of appointing governors and municipal leaders instead of electing them is actually even more insidious than you'd think.
when it comes to regular democracies, where do you get the best candidates for the top office? usually from people who have proven themselves capable regional politicians.
it's not just that there's "no one who can replace putin", as a lot of people say. it's that the current political system makes it way harder for one to come about.

i thought it was an unstated and obvious assumption that a skilled full-time job in any expensive area of any country is supposed to pay enough for people to live in said area with a degree of comfort.

/dev/urandom (devurandom@cybre.space)'s status on Friday, 02-Mar-2018 02:51:38 EST /dev/urandom i don't like the term "brand" when it's used to refer to how people display themselves on social media.
isn't the word "persona" already good enough?
