personal opinion: non-decimal bases for general use are a nifty concept, but to avoid confusion you ideally would want to come up with a unique set of digits.

when it comes to regular democracies, where do you get the best candidates for the top office? usually from people who have proven themselves capable regional politicians.

it's not just that there's "no one who can replace putin", as a lot of people say. it's that the current political system makes it way harder for one to come about.

after reading what people say about companies that require people to relocate, gotta say:

i thought it was an unstated and obvious assumption that a skilled full-time job in any expensive area of any country is supposed to pay enough for people to live in said area with a degree of comfort.
