It's kinda unfortunate that display names are used the way they are. While i appreciate the jokes and riffs, i do wish there was an actual "ok seriously though this is what you should use to refer to me as" field. And yes you should be able to change it and it shouldn't be necessarily related to your "IRL name" but i miss like, having the concept of a handle that people mostly stick with, you know?
