Is there a #Pleroma instance for table top gamers? Boardgames, role-playing games? I hear some G+ refugees are looking for longer toot limits and some markup.
I am such a sucker for Bandcamp, first off because you can listen to and buy DRM free records from musicians - but also because of their Bandcamp Weekly write ups and music journalism endeavours that makes finding new music such a fun treat
My doggie companion came over and sniffed my morning mug of coffee. He immediately sneezed and jumped backwards about 20cm, as if he had been presented with some horrible poison.
A while back I built a site that converts RSS feeds to ActivityPub actors that you can subscribe to from Mastodon and other ActivityPub-compliant social networks: https://bots.tinysubversions.com/convert/
Doing touristy things in #Switzerland: Aareschlucht (a gorge near Meiringen), Harder Kulm (a small mountain restaurant near Interlaken), Titlis a mountain a bit over 3000m high near Engelberg). #Photography
@maiki Remember there used to be prizes for philosophy essays. “On the Basis of Morality was written for an essay contest of a Danish academy. Unlike Schopenhauer’s other essay on ethics, On the Freedom of the Will, which had been crowned by a Norwegian academy, this essay was not awarded a prize despite being the only response which the academy had received.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Basis_of_Morality
I actually built a little toy service (that I will also eventually open source) which converts any RSS feed to an ActivityPub actor that you can subscribe to in Mastodon (or any other AP-compatible client).
Play with it if you like! It is SUPER rough and most feeds end up horribly rendered in Mastodon but it's still kinda cool to see it work: https://bots.tinysubversions.com/convert/
Ailleurs : pour les expérimentations statiques #indieweb, je retiens l'idée de métadonnée "date de péremption" des notes à rajouter dans le FrontMattter YAML.
@tom79 Yeah, but the bot doesn't bypass the administrators. It just queues the requests and admins then have a UI to check requests. Also, it's still being tested. But yes, it should already work. Direct messages should be OK.
Also note that Mastodon Blocker is basically a stop gap measure: ideally we’d be integrating these measures into the default GUI of course. If you support that, see: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/8680
