@schestowitz I suspect false equivalence. Mbe because I've read less of sites like Breitbart and more of sites like Alternet; maybe Breitbart is just as guilty. But it seems like the leftist sites are beating a very loud drum blatantly advocating all manner of action to destabilize society with zero pretense of doing it for mature reasons. It's nothing but groupthink affirmations and calls to go punch a nazi. Maybe if Breitbart explicitly said "go punch a fag" more often they'd get censored too.

Some rightwing protest actions (not speaking of groups, but of actions; remember the public goes to these things with no idea who runs it) targeted by combined spotlight of antifa & corporate media _are_ for free speech. If a frame says false alarm, correct framing is, compelled speech laws (supported via vogue thoughtcrime accusations & vague crybullying slung en masse at average rightwing people) & bans/fines in social media.

Hey #Seattle! Looks like I'm going to be temporarily #homeless this winter because of a procedural snafu. Can I rent a tiny sleeping space and shower rights in a place that doesn't stink, super cheap? I get housing again 2 months after the #snafu (at Social Security) resolves, which will be, honestly, any day/week/month now. Can you help me out cheaper than the cheap end of AirBnB? PS Won't be using you as storage beyond toiletries, some clothes, and whatever other square feet we can negotiate.

@madprops So icecast still gets play... good to know. So you're looking to offsite the video generation... Twitch _may_ be able to help but you're right, you probably want something more specific to audio broadcast.

@madprops FYI composing amazing looking stuff with OBS is very easy. 2-3 hours of tuts + 2-3 hours of experimentation, and you'll be a pro. I know a couple major gotchas I can pass along that snagged me starting out:

- if something fullscreen won't capture, turn on the Multi-Adaptor option in the relevant capture source (catches laptops with a mobile gaming video chip for example)
- if OBS is fussy with something that used to work, start the apps your scene uses, close OBS, and start OBS again

@madprops Yeah, I listen to Random Chiptune Radio and VaporFunk :)

If you're resigned to including the video element, it's definitely doable on Twitch; they have music categories and the content scheduling doesn't discriminate. You'll want to watch some tutorials on how to set up OBS nicely. Once you know how to capture a portion of a specific window (e.g. the Now Playing on your player app) and put it into your scene, you're basically almost ready to go.

@madprops If you do explore Twitch's features beyond the initial poke, I suggest you sign up for StreamLabs too; it's an additional, big basket of free enhancement features.

@madprops Twitch has diversified a lot and is a very, very, very big player now. Worth exploring what they have. Not sure about audio-only specifically but suspect some such. Otherwise of course podcasting platforms exist (I don't consume that kind of audio content). Don't even know what the modern opensource replacement for shoutcast/icecast is (confirming: dating myself as listening to internet radio like it's ca 1999)
