If that means taking lots of breaks, or even taking days or weeks between big projects, that is *OK*! Every artist is different, the time it takes you to make something doesn't in any way change that you are an artist. One person's output schedule will change drastically from another.

Be patient with yourself, be kind to yourself, take pride in what you do even if it isn't perfect yet. You're constantly growing, even in the midst of burnout. Be proud of that!

It's hard to constantly be putting out creative work, and burnout happens really easily when you're constantly using up everything you have to do it.

take breaks! remember to feed yourself! take your medication and take care of your body!

You're an artist no matter what or how much work you put out - so make the process enjoyable and comfortable for YOU!

Believe it or not I've actually been productive today!!

I did some character redraws - These aren't characters I've shared anywhere KJGFHKLSDFG so I've tossed their Comparative Art here to peek at - both are o oo o oooo ld. Like. 3 years old.

Fun facts:

- Leon originally dated Satan. This is totally scrapped, but he DOES still like demonology.
- Cole conveniently works really well as my boy Travis' new love interest....which is GREAT
- Both now live in Brookemount!

#Myartgotbetter once I stopped trying to make art to please others and actually focused on drawing in ways I enjoyed! It seems obvious, but for a long time I wasn't drawing for me. I was drawing for attention. I wanted people to be impressed by my art, to feel validated through that.

I've since learned ways that I love to draw, and in turn I've found a passion for it - so I do it more now than ever before!
