Confession time: At this point in time I have been using #OpenBSD for 21 years straight (since 2.3 release) ... which is ~50% of the time that I have been alive. As far as constants in my digital universe go #OpenBSD is only surpassed by #emacs which I have been using for ~24+ years. I really enjoy the simplicity, stability and predictability of that combo ... it let's me keep my sanity in the digital shitshow that we all live in.

We have launched the survey for our second round of donations - this time we will be donating $100 to 2 separate open source projects.

We've managed to improve the submission process this time around by using @LimeSurvey.

Please do take the time to add a submission if you get a couple of minutes. The list will then be sent to our Patrons for the final vote.

#BSDlife here's a few lesser-known ports that I use *every* day:

- http://freshports.org/devel/git-cola is a sweet git UI with interactive rebase, DAG visualisation, partial commit staging and more. I particularly like the partial interactive commit staging as doing this from the terminal is horrible. I know it's been removed, but I'm re-adding it with QT5 support just now, so you can play with it next week.

- http://freshports.org/devel/zeal is an offline docs browser with IDE/vim/emacs support
