    Guten Morgen mein lieber Herr @mcscx , ich moechte einen Garantiefall melden. Als ich gestern ins Bett ging, sass der fette Kaefer an der Wand ueber meinem Bett. Ich beobachtete ihn und wartete auf einen guenstigen Moment, ihn zu fangen, aber er kroch nur naeher und naeher zu meinem Bett und immer an Stellen wo ich ihn nicht erwischen konnte, er sass sogar kurzzeitig auf meine Matratze. Er flog auch manchmal ein Stueck, das ist beaengstigend. Dann kroch er hinter ein Bild und hat sich wohl dort schlafen gelegt. Dann hab ich auch geschlafen, aber dann war es schon nach 4 oder so. Jetzt moechte ich gerne meine Garantie einloesen, und wuensche mir fuer heute Nacht eine kaeferfreie Nacht. Koennen Sie so schnell Liefern? Vielen Dank und mit freundlichen Gruessen, Biene

    Hier kriecht irgendwo ein riiiiiiesiger Kaefer rum. Leider hab ich ihn aus den Augen verloren und finde ihn nicht mehr, und kann ihn nicht fangen. Aber wenn ich jetzt schlafen gehe, faengt er bestimmt mich...shit.

    An heissen Tagen wenn es kaum anders geht, mache ich manchmal Waermeentzug mit einem eiskalten Fussbad. Und es passiert tatsaechlich manchmal, so wie jetzt, dass ich danach friere. Hehe. Is wirksam.

    durchaus. Ich hatte keine Details zu Deinem Krankenhausaufenthalt mitbekommen, und hab mich nicht getraut zu fragen, ich wusste nicht, dass es die Lunge war.

    Reading up on #forkedoff a bit, and feels like Mastodon has exactly the same problem as Twitter in that it doesn't know if it's a codebase, service, or culture. Compare to long term tech efforts which choose one, and decouple everything else. A protocol needs a tech spec/standard. A service needs a set of legal policies. A culture needs clearly defined values. Don't mix them up into one.

    Ok, so unless Bloomberg are now in the fake news business it's official. Microsoft is buying Github.

    There is no way that any code I wrote will fall under the dominion of Microsoft.

    Therefore in the coming week I'll be moving out of Github. Initially I'll just self-host on Gogs, but I'll also be looking for a secondary host as backup for cases where my own server is down or doesn't have enough bandwidth.

    I'm sure that this will be rough for a lot of projects. Many things currently point to Github. Some will side with Microsoft, believing that they are allies of FOSS or just favoring convenience over disruption. When Microsoft is involved this is always a mistake.
