    Yandex's search by image is scary good. It is way next level to Google's. I installed a new plugin in Firefox so I can right click any image and search it in a list of providers and damn.

    @ajroach42 @switchingsocial well if you have your own instance you can upload your whole library of mp3s to it and then use it as a cloud streaming provider privately. and you can share your library with others if you choose to take that risk. OR if you only want to listen to freely distributed music and cc music then you can share everything publicly and your library is federated using #ActivityPub

    @charlag its opt-out. but so are search engines. I am not sure but I would assume they would follow robots.txt as well. I do not find it sneaky personally.

    @charlag I have all the apps. I actually really like tootdon's search and end up using it alot. I have all the other apps too. I was curious if Tootdon is abandoned actually cause I am curious if there would be a way to convince the dev to opensource it if they decided not to work on it any more.

    just looking back at it again there are actually a ton of different stuff there that seem quite customized other then just colors and widths. but most of the more advanced ones haven't been updated in a year or so.
