The FSF has 34 years of legacy & a community that's highly resistant to meaningful change, so I think their leadership having the courage to make strong decisions others will disagree with will be a real challenge for them.

But the task of changing for the better is not an impossible one imho. Any organization can foster an inclusive and diverse environment if they exercise the right amount of patience, persistence and willigness to learn from past mistakes.

The RMS resignation was inevitable and right, but at the same time very sad.

Things can be right and sad at the same time. We can feel empathy while knowing this was necessary.

For people celebrating, we understand why. For those feeling sad about it, it's okay to feel sad too, but we all knew it had to happen.
