Hey, so it's not too difficult to find games, movies, comics, etc that specifically depict powerful female protagonists and/or trans women because these works tend to specifically be labeled as such.
I have a friend, who is a trans man, that's trying to find works that depict inspiring male role models. He's trying to find works to better help him understand positive masculinity. Does anyone have any ideas?
I think I've finally internalized it, or at least I'm starting to internalize this. My body does not disqualify me from, or even call into question, my womanhood. I was a girl when I was born, I'm a woman now, and no set of circumstances is ever going to make that more true or less true (unless I discover some more accurate understanding of my gender).
My genitalia has no say whatsoever in how masculine I am, how feminine I am, or who I am as a person in any way.
Honestly, DRM and proprietary software are inherantly ableist. It makes it impossible for people to adapt (or allow others to adapt) content to systems that they know work for them. It means that we're entirely at the mercy of people who don't give a shit to provide us with the means to actually use their systems.
