@filip it would be *great* to have that! parsing org files is no walk in the park, and markdown is good enough, so I haven't pursued it. I'm hoping that someday an org parsing lib will come out and I can just hook it in.
can't believe how many websites still break when using any sort of accented character. a coworker has a ñ in his name and the AWS re:invent site threw an error when he tried to book a hotel room because of it.
@cwebber I hate when we have a bunch of rainy days in the 40s and then when the weather is better it is in the 80s. I want some mild spring days, damn it!
y'all may remember me lamenting the fact that I bought standard size pear trees when I should have bought dwarf or semi-dwarf. I don't want to just get rid them so I've been thinking about how to turn a problem into a solution and I think I just came up with that solution. I will use the mistake trees to learn how to espalier. I have a fence to grow them against and if I fuck up it's no big deal.
yesterday I counted all the garlic shoots in the garden and there are about 80. I didn't realize I had planted so many. can't really have too much garlic, though.
this piqued my interest. I ended up on https://svelte.dev/blog/svelte-3-rethinking-reactivity and read "Since we're a compiler" and ran away. I feel like every JS thing is a compiler these days and it is frustrating.
tonight is the town meeting where we get to vote on stuff but like hell am I going to go spend another 5+ hours after work only to lose every vote that I care about. tonight is the plastic bag + styrofoam ban but that should pass.
so much stuff happening in the garden that I can't even really summarize it in a toot. I feel like I need to start a nursery business out of necessity to keep up with how fast the plants are propagating themselves.
