Thanks for the logos. I'll pass them on.
could that be fixed?
It's possible, but not very likely on the short term.
Once that project completes their proposed account migration feature I might be able to dig up my old Friendica private key and tell them I've moved (ironically to exactly the same place).

@Mike I saw your comment in the end, from Hubzilla. That's a bit inconvenient that JD won't see your channel, could that be fixed?
I created SVGs for Hubzilla logo:
https://gerzilla.de/cloud/lightone/_H-hubzilla.svg
https://gerzilla.de/cloud/lightone/_Hubzilla.svg
Wanted to share them a little later along with the whole project, but since you're in comments, might be just the right time. :) Hope they'll come in handy some day.
[huge sorry for the offtop, Sean]

@James Lamentus I see, that's a pity. I guess I'll postpone my research then, until they decide to join "the Free Network" by using at least one common protocol.
-
I sort of vaguely remember seeing a post a year or two ago that Libertee development had ceased. However I do visit occasionally and the stream appears to still be active, so I don't know if the status has changed or whether it's floating along without updates like pump.io did for a few years.
[ Oh right - I always forget that joindiaspora.com can't see my Hubzilla channel (it was once a friendica identity like 5 years ago and that site thinks it still is). So I'm just talking into space and @lightone won't be able to see my replies.]
-
'Libertree, oh no, one more network I'll need to research. Does anyone use it?'
the problem with libertree, is that they live fully isolated, and that perhaps they like to live that way IMHO
-
could anyone please confirm if PumpIo currently federates with the Fediverse on any instance?
It federates with MediGoblin and Friendica has a working bridge to that protocol/network.

Finding fediverse contacts nearby isn't easy. Hopefully new people from local communities will join once you gain their attention. Good luck!
Libertree, oh no, one more network I'll need to research. Does anyone use it? I can't find any list of nodes or anything about its community.
Also (sorry for the offtop) could anyone please confirm if PumpIo currently federates with the Fediverse on any instance? I've seen their planned ActivityPub support and some OStatus bridge, but not sure I ever saw any PumpIo user in any of my Federation/Fediverse Streams.

you won't find people who give talks about this regularly easily?
start with informal regular "stammtisch" and/or hackspace get-togethers first to build community.

Trying To Find The Best Diet Pill?
Trying to find the best diet pill may seem like an impossible task, especially with the multitude of diet pills available for purchase. Many people purchase a diet pill only to find out that the pill makes them feel jittery, nervous, or often has no effect at all.
Diet pills frequently contain the same or similar combination of ingredients and rarely contain anything new, innovative, or undiscovered to the supplement / weight loss industry. So, how can you find the best diet pill when most diet pills are made with similar ingredients?
One of the most common problems associated with taking diet pills is that the person taking the diet pill is uneducated about the dosage, effects, and promises offered as they relate to each diet pill. The research at website finds that there are three factors that should be taken into consideration when deciding to take a diet pill.
Dosage:
It is important to take the pill exactly as recommended on the product label. Some people choose to increase the dosage thinking that the product will work faster or better. This is not the case, and many people become sick in response to the large dose. Reviewers at website often suggest that the recommended dosage be cut in half to give the body time to adjust to the stimulant in the diet pill. After the body has adjusted, it is fine to begin taking the regular dosage as recommended on the product label.
Effects:
The effects listed on the product label are there because these are the effects that the product has had on 'some' of the test group. Some of the diet pill testers may be fine taking the product, while others may have adverse effects. The diet pill companies print this information to educate the buyer as well as to protect themselves from lawsuits. The consumer needs to read the label and educate themselves before taking the product. Many people who are sensitive to caffeine are surprised when the diet pill makes them feel nervous or nauseous, but this information is likely printed on the product, so with a little research these affects can be avoided.
Promises:
If you read the fine print on product claims for diet pills and other weight loss supplements, you will see 'results not typical' printed very small somewhere where you are not expected to look. The diet pills advertised on television are responsible for some of the most outlandish claims. The results claimed in these advertisements are often unattainable within the given amount of time outlined in the ad. Don't expect to see results in two weeks like a lot of ads claim.
Wouldn't it be great if you could read reviews for diet pills from actual users of each diet pill? Diet Pill Reviews website has taken the trouble out of searching for the best diet pill. You can read reviews of over 150 of the most popular diet pills available.

I have no prior experience in organizing this sort but if thing, but uh, here's a new MeetUp I'm starting.
BAMF - Bay Area Members of the Fediverse
http://meetu.ps/c/3CrlC/vlXjp/d on Meetup
Currently testing it out to gauge interest. If you live in the Bay Area and want to come out and make new friends, that would be the most amazing thing. You are welcome to join, regardless of whether you're from #Diaspora, #Friendica, #Hubzilla, #Libertree, #SocialHome, #Pump or any other federated platform.
I'll pick a date and a venue soon.
#Fediverse #SanFrancisco #BayArea

It sounds as though you've find an ideal place to work, and that lots of good things are coming together for you. Onwards and upwards!
-
Good to hear good news! Plus, your gif is fucking awesome that it has just been repurposed in a discussion thread with some friends
-
Oh geez, editing a bunch of my posts to add category tags caused them to re-federate.
Sorry everyone.

Sentry.io Blog - Welcome Sean Tilley
This was a pretty fun way to get introduced - the #Sentry team plans a video shoot and creates a GIF for their blog, which announces new team members and tells a little bit about their personal history.
One month in, and I'm starting to get adjusted to working there - I'm slowly moving up from working the support queue to taking calls and devising concept demos, which honestly feels great. I've even talked to my first enterprise customer, and I'm being coached on how to work this system.
I'm making new friends and learning how to come out of my shell. As much as I'd like to say that I feel like a kid on my first day at school, we've already hired on a bunch of new people. So I'm not even the newest person here.

It is not yet available in the 'master' branch. It should be present in 2.8RC which was tagged about ten hours ago.
-
I just installed a fresh new hub today but I don't find PubCrawl plugin
-
Enable the
PubCrawl
plugin. For what it's worth, my Hubzilla install and Hubzilla add-ons are all running on the latest dev branch.
-
how do you activate it ?
