It would be interesting to read about your cross-posting realization

The last few months have been interesting. I left a place that I've been working at for most of my adult life. Max Salzberg, Rosanna Yau and I have been working together for almost five years, from #Diaspora to #BackerKit. It's strange to think that this is now part of a different chapter. In some ways, it's a little painful.
I remember the first time I got off the plane in SF, heart pounding as I prepared to meet everyone for the first time. A nearly-naked Dennis Collinson strolled into SFO, "SEAN TILLEY" emblazoned on his chest with marker. Incidentally, he was also shouting my name.
That week in the summer was pure magic. I explored San Francisco in detail, completely unaware of its layout or features.

Just don't make it look too much like Zendesk. :P
That platform is tab hell.

At this point, the solution probably isn't something that can be solved with software (although there's a million ways you could improve user discovery across instances).
When it comes to building communities, a much more grassroots type of campaign must take place to bring people together. This can include setting up dedicated spaces, convincing network influencers to talk about it and use it, and promoting unifying causes through these newly created channels. Heck, to some extent this is something that must also be built offline, as a means to connect people in meatspace first and foremost.

Wow. The government is getting serious about chem-trails!

If those skills become truly necessary, having them might go a long way towards getting one!

Note that OpenRA runs very well on GNU/Linux ;)

We live in a world where you can run an open source Command and Conquer clone (OpenRA) on top of an open source Windows clone (ReactOS).
