No, git-send-email and patch discussions on mailing lists doesn't suit most people. Übergeeks may disdain it, but there's a reason the gitea/lab/hub workflow dominates.
Codeberg isn't exactly new. It's one of the big four:
- Want to use gitea? Use Codeberg or selfhost. - Want to use gitlab? Use framagit or selfhost. - But you'll probably use gitlab.com. - Want to use github? Use github.com.

Hi @freemo , a small question for when you have time: how did you find discourse so far, in terms of maintenace?
I managed a phpbb community, I'd just like something where I do not have to mess with the code, and I do not have to put the whole community in standby when there is an update as some plugin will likely break. Is it giving you many headaches, so far?
> that is sad state of development at GNU social. Developers have other priorities but connectivity @louis Just a few months ago I refused to even consider GSoC (being paid) on grounds of knowing nothing about PHP. I thought I'm progressing fine. And without being paid %). The best I can do right now is stop discussing the database stuff in the !xmpp MUC, so that it won't be visible that there's someone out there who's taking an interest in that.
