@SoniEx2 yikes, yeah. i don't know either -- unless the servers have more capacity now (which i don't think is the case), i still can't download an archive of this account, because it's very, very slow due to the download being too large. the couple of days that it took to find this out, not that great.

@SoniEx2 one thing i've done is figure out what solutions are beforehand, or alter how i do something. the supermarket is a prime example: i know that wearing sunglasses and wearing headphones with music that's loud enough to drown out everything else helps, but the best way is to get groceries delivered. it costs more money, but i'd spend several days (or a week) recovering otherwise

@SoniEx2 that's a good question, i wish i knew the answer. :/ it seems like that's part of the problem -- geting people to listen and respect our needs

@LexYeen Me: fingers keep clicking, my right ankle is clicking slightly and a little painful, I'm hoping my knee doesn't go out for a bit, and so far today, my wrist...well, they're mostly ok. I had a twinge earlier, but it seems ok now.

Lastly, I'm mostly not looking for intimacy, I'm looking for friends and like minds on here, in general. The way I decided to handle with my getting into disasterous relationships was to not have them. Which mostly works for me! But I know that's not everybody's needs or desires.

@fountainofwonder My usual early impulse with someone is a mix of "hi!!! 💞" and moving at my own speed (fast!), which can make people think that I don't have limits and boundaries as well.

So it's both personal needs and inclination, and wanting to balance out what can "go sideways" at times.

@fountainofwonder Two, in terms of my own feels? I may *appear* standoffish, but I'm also a huge bundle of emotions. You know how people talk about some autistic folks are super-emotional and hyperempathic? That's me, I just mask some of it, so people don't...I don't know, mess with me or something. I'm also alexithymic.

@fountainofwonder I have a bunch of my own needs, including not really liking talking about what my needs are, unless I'm really close with someone. Including cuddling and all that.

So if I seem standoffish, it's *not* personal, it's a form of self-care that I do in general with everybody. That's one.

@LexYeen I get both. The noisy ones are usually more like an adjustment, than a dislocation, if that makes sense.

Yeah, me too! This morning, my right ankle was making a lot of popping noises, so I'm going easy on it -- but I went to sit down, and it was like "owwwww, my knee."

Something adjusted, and the knee pain went away, but the ankle is still popping and slightly painful. Go figure.
