I wish all the Lawyer Shows didn't feel like they have to have an overwarching plot. like How To Get Away With Murder would be so much better if it was just independent episodes

@jk a good trick is to "randomly get a lot of money all at once" so you can feel okay about spending so much money

@jk some of these are good though! I love to hear people slowly getting sucked into a game that I know well and slowly understanding concepts and systems that are obvious to me because I know the game but not obvious in general!

@er1n the trick is, give em like 3 knobs, or 3000. if you give em 30, they'll make some garbage, but give em 3000?? they won't know what to do, and won't even be able to use the system. hence, have you ever heard a bad synclavier sound?? no, because there were only 9 people who could use one

@KitRedgrave or all software, yes, but modeling nonlinearities that sound nice and also building a good interface to explore the parameter space well isn’t so easy, and if you want to make something that is a new sound rather that just copying sth, that’ll take some creativity

I consider myself good at writing code and I look up stuff all the darn time, such as “how to open a file”

PSA for people who #code:
Looking stuff up does NOT make you bad at coding.
"Not having to look up stuff" is NOT the benchmark for a good coder, especially as coders have to look up stuff ALL THE TIME!
And I don't mean highly advanced stuff, but stuff like "How does division work again?" or "What's that function called?" or my personal favorite "How to I nest for loops in list comprehensions?".
It's ok if you have to look up stuff!
