most of my contemporaries have this hilarious disdain for facebook and then say "yeah, i'm mostly on instagram these days."

as if the problem of social media are solved by simply moving your presence from one platform where your parents are, to a shittier platform owned by the same sociopaths.

like, i'm glad that story blew up re: ICE detaining an american-born teenager for weeks.

but it also set me on edge because the focus needs to be that this organization is buck wild outta control and awful -- not that it's crossed a line for harassing a US citizen.

visiting the monument to Pvt. Hank Buford. the brave soldier that landed on the beach of Normandy on D-Day, and courageously ran up and down the battlefront shouting "not everyone that disagrees with you is a Nazi."
