@vfrmedia I guess the point I'm arguing from is that, if kids get access to the internet they will use it, and that the internet is full of shit. I'd like to advice kids and parents an easy to use plattfrom for video streaming that does offer great content.
there is https://kids.youtube.com/, that I haven't checked out, but while it is from google I do not expect it to have that great content, but reproduces behaviour norms that are opressive.

in the past they had a form on their webpage, that when filled out was sending your private data to mailchimp and google.
The main issue is not that they did that, but that it was *without* consent and that they kept talking how every data collection they do is only done if there is consent.
After my criticism they changed the webpage.
That means they are aware of it, and them sayn they only do private data collection in a consent manner is a lie.
Taking in mind, who's involved in, that should take us by suprise.

@sirmacik @paulfree14 the problem with this approach is that in Firefox users will forget to re-enable signature checking in XPI installs afterwards, thus opening themselves to unsigned malware-preloaded extensions in the future.
We will see the ripple effects for months.
Obviously not saying this is a bad solution to the problem at hand for users who need it!

For their hosting they have their own software stack, and branded them as frama...
For every service they offer, they explain what software they have used to do so.
They do this also when they changed parts of the code and when they have their own branding.
Sometimes they also help to fund the development as they did for #peertube.
That's the kind of freesoftware culture I love!
