@bob @lnxw48a1 @hntooter @partial Weeks? Days? We have a valley of tech CEOs in California who think Lex Luthor was too timid. -

@lnxw48a1 @hntooter @partial But when a part of the populace feels it *must* #resist at all costs, things like this are rationalized away. -

@lnxw48a1 @hntooter It is time for a renaissance of FidoNet and UUCP. FidoNet is still on the decline in the US but still lives in Russia. -

@lnxw48a1 That's why I want to run away from $BUREAU as I get "ground truth" data about our economy's ill health. I'm maxed on psych meds. In conversation from quitter.se permalink -

My first guess is this is actually from Hong Kong (+852) but somebody somewhere messed up. The 8 digits after the prefix look like Hong Kong numbers usually look ... in that it's 8 digits and it starts with 2, which is pretty common. Someone just called me from +872. I didn't pick it up.
Now I'm looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_country_calling_codes
> +872 – unassigned (formerly used by Inmarsat, Pacific), discontinued in 2008
