@dirb zombies are underrated.

@crimsun @pinkcathodecat LFS is pretty awesome. but it also assumes a generous supply of time. I'll admit that part of the reason I chose slackware was to gain some of the perks of doing LFS without actually wasting time managing the "don't cares." I know I'm missing out on one hell of a linux education, though.
-
@crimsun @pinkcathodecat yeah, it's prob inevitable it'll get canned by all the major distros. as long as 32-bit chips remain useful for embedded devices and factory automation, I don't see netbsd dropping that branch anytime soon either, so would consider that another option for giving life to an old machine.
anything that keeps otherwise useable hardware out of the trash heap is a win in my book.

@pinkcathodecat @crimsun recommended, although I can see why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste. I pretty much try to align with the KISS principle, and slackware lets me do that (as much as is possible with linux). no signs they're dropping the 32-bit branches right away, at least.
-
@crimsun I've slackware installed on both a thinkpad x200 (2008) and a modern desktop (2015) desktop. they both run great. @pinkcathodecat
-
@delores me: >1000 but <20000, random bird and cloudposting, excessive BS with niu.moe people, shitposting still not of @delores calibre.
-
@crimsun @pinkcathodecat each to their own imo. but I find slackware very practical -- very stable, and one of the best "set & forget" distros out there even if it requires a little config to make yourself #comfe.
-
@pinkcathodecat @crimsun a lean debian or slackware install would fit and prob run pretty comfortably, though.
-
@lain gorgeous.
-
@augustus speaking of cucked peoples ...
-
playing a musical instrument seriously by choice is prob one of the most rewarding hobbies to have. playing a musical instrument seriously against your will is prob the closest to hell I can think of.
-
@kfist lol, true!
-
@kfist yeah, I was being a little facetious -- I wish they'd just choose one, but prob too expensive now to try to switch everything over. cool video!
-
@kfist I still like how one part of japan is 50 Hz and the other 60 Hz.
-
@delores this is a recipe for disaster.
-
@roko going to check out the XR650L on Tuesday. might buy it on the spot if it's as the owner describes. was able to work a slightly lower price, but not much -- sounds very well maintained, though.
-
@dirb we're all cute girls here.
-
@dirb @lain with a face like this, no wonder it's Man's Best Friend. :-P
-
@augustus @why I was trying to imitate some people who've gotten extremely aggressive and close enough to my face that I could smell their lunch when I asked simple questions to them in a calm manner. harder to relate via text, I'll admit.
