I know there aren't a lot of cyclists here, but should I ride https://www.mnrando.org/Rides/RideDetails?id=1104 ?

I don't think the wind was that strong, but you might be correct that Cristobal is causing plans to come in from the north rather than the south.

This is what my ride yesterday said: Wind 14mph from S

My favorite thing about my cats is how they are actively in the middle of killing each other and then for like three seconds, sword at throat, they just clean each other. Then they go back to fighting.

This meeting always drives me nuts. Who the hell is going to write the thing to parse this? Why does this need to be machine readable?

the wind must really be fierce or there must be construction at the airport because all of the flights are being redirected it seems.

I mean, I know it is windy, but I didn't think it was that bad.

this pluralsight course says there is now a java-first mentality and XML is out. It seems like there is a lot of XML in #Wildfly though.

I don't know enough about Wildfly competitors to say much more

well, I guess I don't know that. Hibernate uses JDBC, but if Hibernate is in #Wildfly do I still need to set up JDBC myself? idk.

going back through this #JDBC training. Here's something I missed the first time through: I could have skipped the JDBC headache and just used #Hibernate.

I bet #Hibernate is a headache too though.

hmm, there are going to be three tracks, which have not been announced yet...so I guess I am jumping the gun on this. I can always come back to suggestions once the tracks are announced though.

My team is hosting a virtual conference in October (maybe it's September). I think it is just for current customers. A user group meeting of sorts.

In any case, I don't know if the presentations themselves will see the public web, but I can certainly share here some of what I learn along the way.

Basically any #freesoftware is fair game, although we don't typically do much with #bsd. What would you like to know about? #java #jenkins #configurationascode #cloud #orchestration #linux.

I guess I need to figure out if it needs to be an application we support. We support a bunch of stuff though, so I wouldn't worry too much about that when suggesting topics.

Anybody know anything about monitoring #Kafka connectors explicitly? I am not talking about the broker or producers or consumers.

For now, any !monitoring tool is fine.
