Should you accept, you'd have ~4 months to find a single artist. Other regions are available. North America (including Central and Caribbean) outside of the USA, for example. -

@craigmaloney pretty sure I know the answer, but I am going to ask anyway.
I'm getting back into the Creative Commons Community Music Awards after a year off and we are going to do things radically differently. A single "Artist of the Year" award for each region.
I am wondering if you would be willing to tackle the Great Lakes (IL, IN, MI, OH) region.
My assumption is not, but if you have a suggestion for someone to ask, please send them my way! -

It appears I can say publicly now that we are basing this off of regions. We'll follow the James Beard regions for the US, and figure out the rest of the world based on who we can find. -

The Creative Commons Community Music Awards are looking for volunteers! I don't have official details to post yet, but if you're curious, let me know and I can tell you what we are thinking.
If things go according to plan, things will be very different than the last two times!

last time this happened (just 3-4 months ago) they interviewed a ton of people and we kept getting all these false indications that things were getting close, so who knows. -

Maybe if we stopped calling everyone Czars, Russia would be less interested. -

ok, I def think this is a Windows thing now and not a perl thing -

Any #Perl on Windows gurus? I am not a perl guru at all...not sure how I'd tackle this on Linux either, tbh, though I'd probably use tcpdump, so maybe that's something to try on Windows too.
* Windows is server 2016 datacenter
* Perl is 5, Verison 30 subersion 0 (5.30.0) build for MSWin32-x64-multi-thread
I'm seeing a bunch of processes spawn off. I'm not sure how to debug. I can see in Task Manager the command being run.
I've seen the issue before when the trigger calling the script had malformed arguments...but that's not happening here.

Did you follow-up with Nik about JFrog? I think JFrog is a little more open to people moving to work. That's what Nik did. I hope I'm wrong about Perforce, and the new management, but I just saw a new job listing that suggesting that things haven't changed (different team though, so who knows) -

My experience of the debate over more police in 2019:
Downtown business leaders want cops. People you'd expect to be law and order types prefer lower taxes. People who actually want more city spending would prefer that it go to other priorities, not cops.

the 324 is way off, whether we are looking at Minneapolis (way too high ~120) or the entire world (way too low ~1000) In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -

Had he made it a couple more months, Marvin would have been 17 today.
Fittingly, I suppose, we got a frame for his picture recently, and I put the picture in this morning. In conversation from nu.federati.net permalink -
