One of those weeks where I felt like I accomplished a few things, but still feel like I'm falling behind. Wave wave.

Wanted to follow the activity of a user on Gitlab and wondered where the "Follow" button was.

Then I remembered that rss feeds exist on Gitlab.

It's like finding out that you don't have to drink that communal pot of rocket fuel they call "coffee" in the office.

One of the things that's hardest for me to cope with is being gentle with myself while I'm learning. I expect everything to come quickly and it frustrates me no end when it takes longer than I think it should, especially when I'm doing something creative that I want to look good out of the gate.

Folks call this "permission to suck" but it goes even deeper than that. It's more like "permission to move at your own pace and still suck".

@kot Oh I've had first-hand experience with that. But things that I thought were unimpeachably good somehow have figured out how to disappoint me.

TFW you're so far behind on upgrading your main desktop machine that Ubuntu's ESM makes sense.

It's like finding out that your childhood crush is actually a horrible person and, spoiler alert, was never the person you thought they were.

Apparently my childhood favorites are just a checklist of things that have become corrupted over the years by corporate greed.

Hoping we can do better for the next few generations, because frankly I'm getting tired of having to put qualifiers on things that I liked.
