The solution isn't more nationalism, but more individualism. Government courts should not exist. There are no crimes against society. Individual hurts can be found by binding arbitration to determine restitution.

Today, NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo sent a memo to all Regional Directors, Officers-in-Charge, and Resident Officers, setting forth her view that the proffer, maintenance, and enforcement non-compete provisions in employment contracts and severance agreements violate the National Labor Relations Act except in limited circumstances.

When Jay & Shalon refused to talk to child protective services Shalon Noone was arrested despite no claims of abuse or neglect existing. Child protective services does not do what as is advertised. The agency does NOT exist to protect children, but rather is a tool of political oppression by people in power with a financial motive. Shalon Noone is a political prisoner for standing up to CPS. If we want to protect the young from abusive the solution is simple. Stop restricting young people from working, driving, and being free human beings. If we stop tying them like slaves to owners abuse will dramatically fall on its own. When you empower young people they are free to leave abusive situations and fins better living conditions. No one else is going to be in a better position to protect the young than the individual being abused themself.

yet another example of why #friendica is so much better than mastodon. This is the last post in a long thread about #Reddit charging for API access. They are like the 30th person to recommend #Lemmy, which is super noticeable here since #friendica does proper status #threading, but it sure isn't clear on #Mastodon, particularly depending which user in the thread you #follow.

If things go from worse to worst, maybe it might be worth considering building for the fediverse, kind of like what Tapbots is doing? There's a Reddit alternative called Lemmy that pretty much replaces most of Reddit's main functionality.
