@tomey @muti277 there's a twist. Before say 2010, the censorship is pretty much self censorship. Anything against god, or of gore, or picture of natural occurring naked children, can get you mob lynched, break your windows, etc. (while these are ok in say china, japan.)

this year 2017, YouTube, twitter, facebook, began blatent outright censorship/suppression against any non-sjw views. Ban, violence (antifa), against christian/conservatives views. Openly attacking free speech.

usa is corporatocracy, as much as there's such concept. google, facebok, apple, cable/phone/media companies, control infomation. At what point, one distinguish the effect from gov censorship?

@tomey i do thing censorship is significantly involved.

even before this year, usa practice self-censorship. For example, back in 2000, you can't say kill christian god. And on youtube, anything involving blood (eg car accident) is ban'd. The commercial companies don't allow it. (in china, russia, you see these gore regularly)

but in this year, forced censorship is HEAVY. as we've seen in youtube, tweeter, widely reported.

when i found this few months ago, i was really taken aback. Because, i check that map regularly, every 2 or 3 years, since 2006 or so. USA was not colored the same as china just maybe 5 years ago. In fact, it's green.

as a older liberal, does this map makes you feel something is seriously wrong? or, do you think it's just some conservative fking with the map?
