    Ich bin ja stark dafür, dass OnePlus mit dem nächsten Modell wieder die "Sandstone Black" Rückseite zurückbringt. Wenn ich die anderen Personen zeige (auch Apple-Fans), sind die immer ziemlich begeistert. Ist ja auch eine tolle Oberfläche: Schön, schafft Haftung und ist unanfällig für Fingerabdrücke. Ich verstehe wirklich nicht, wieso das das nicht fortgeführt wurde.

    It's annoying that so many displays have too short input source timeouts. They change into power saving mode way too quickly. It always takes a few seconds until my setup is ready after plugging in the external monitor. :(

    Ich finde diese Mesh-Geschichten von AVM ja schon ziemlich interessant. Jetzt fehlt mir nur noch die richtige FritzBox dazu (und ein bisschen mehr AVM-Hardware). Mal abwarten, ob die 7390 noch Support bekommt.

    Habe gestern mit einem Apple-Fanboy gesprochen. Er ist zwar rundum überzeugt (vor allem vom Service), aber zwei Dinge stören ihn:

    - Wenn man mal zum Rest der Welt kompatibel sein muss, wird es schwierig

    - Den Preis findet er nicht annähernd angemessen.

    Finde es gut, wenn Leute ehrlich sind, und nicht nur Geflame verfallen.

    Idea for a new hobby:
    Collecting network packet capture (pcap) traces from interesting/"fun" network environments. :3
    In the same way other people collect stamps or whatever.

    "Look at this weird setup with multiple DHCP servers!"
    "I've got one where the timings are totally off!"
    ... you could also trade them if you're comfortable. :D

    Terroralarm-Apps. Aha. Sind wir schon so weit? "Erhalten Sie Benachrichtigungen, wenn ein Terroranschlag in Ihrer Nähe erkannt wird".

    Bald gibt es das dann als Abo. "Kaufen sie das Premium-Paket, um auch über größere Anschläge informiert zu werden. Mit dem PLUS Abo werden Sie 2 Stunden im Voraus gewarnt".

    Die Apps kommen dann direkt von Terrormilizen und finanzieren das alles.

    So gern ich Linux in der öffentlichen Verwaltung sehen würde ... so groß ist auch der Aufwand dafür. Da muss man auch als Linuxer einfach mal ehrlich und realistisch sein.

    Bevor hier irgendwas groß umgestellt werden kann, muss sich auf einer ganz anderen Ebene ordentlich was bewegen: Und das sind die OSI-Layer ganz oben: Die Anwendungssoftware muss flexibler / offener werden.
