In short: there's no good reason to run an App when the web will do, unless you feel like selling or giving away data of obvious value.

@hippieNdisguise every generation has watched some aspect of pop music slide; however today, they write monotone hymns to buttocks. I would like to say, "it can't get worse," but the moment i do, the next fad will be pedo-dance music or something.

It's hardly force-fed, the last 1,000 years or more in music is a couple of clicks away. It takes a lot of energy to keep people engaged.

What's missing is the culture and experiential bandwidth that is required to appreciates it.

@hippieNdisguise Hip hop has always been music for people without the sophistication to appreciate music.

Along the way, high forms evolved (Blackalicious, later Beastie Boys, Massive Attack,) but there are limits to rhyming along with samples of other peoples' music.
